Takanobu Saito (Kawasaki, Japan): Breeze


Thank you Mr Saito for sending your work to our blog. Mr Saito is a qualified Sogetsu ikebana teacher working in Kanagawa. We hope to see more of your works here in this blog. Following is his comment on this work.

Phormium is interesting because the shape of phormium can be changed variously by raising straightly, rolling up, tearing along a vein and cutting partially.
I made a thin and soft curve by tearing phormiums. This is the expression of breeze.
It is rainy season in Japan and very humid, so we like breeze now.
