I've attached some photos of the floral arrangements I've done over the holidays. They're not exactly ikebana though..... I've been doing more "normal" floral arrangements for some reason. I need to get back into ikebana!

Attached are some photos of 2 arrangements I've made. I was inspired by the edible herbs in my garden.

Fireworks - the seeding dill plant reminded me of fireworks which is very timely with New Year's coming up. The other "leaves" are garlic chives.

Splash of orange - the orange flower is a nasturtium and I've again used garlic chives.

I look forward to hearing your feedback on these freestyle arrangements and hopefully some tips on how I can take better photos.

Thank you Teresa for sending your homework. I can see that you had a very good meditative time with your flowers.
Top: You used your container very effectively. But notice that your flower is very strong and your leaf is so delicate. Consider the difference more carefully and tell your own story.
Below: This is very good. You may add a final small touch to the front part of the arrangement.

Hi Iris, Yes, you can do Moribana style for our next exhibition. This is a really good work. I think this is your personal best. However, you need to work a bit more with the two main branches. Although their angle, length and position are almost perfect, please meditate on the leaves of the branches. Shoso
